A couple of local residents have recently launched “Acton Unframed” a campaign to bring world class street art to Acton W3. The project aims to attract visitors to the area and serve as a catalyst to engage the community and to inspire commercial and social change in the neighbourhood.
The team have managed to gain all the right attention for this project, currently being crowdfunded on Spacehive, it has had pledges from 140 people including Ealing Council (£10K), The Mayor of London (£15K) and have signed up world renowned artist Fin DAC (currently in Mexico painting an official Frida Kahlo mural) to paint the first wall. They are currently at 70% funded and hope to get further community support to complete the round and make the idea of putting Acton on the map a firm reality!
